I have been very busy lately coming up with brand new ideas for my shop, which I will be posting over the next few days! The first brand new original item that I have created is made from Perler Beads, and is a new take on my Question Mark Keepsake Box ... this time with a new twist!
And here it is! The Question Mark Keepsake Box with Interchangeable Powerups!
This keepsake box comes with interchangeable power-ups to attach to the top of the box! Each power-up can stick inside the top of the box lid - there is a Red Mushroom, a Green 1UP Mushroom, a Fire Flower, a Coin, and an Invincibility Star. You can display the box normally without the power-ups with the question mark to the front, or flip the box around to the side where it looks like Mario has already hit the block, and place a power-up in the top of the lid! This is a versatile keepsake box with six different looks in total!
As for the box itself, it is made to look like a Question Mark Block from the Super Mario games for the Nintendo. It has a lid on the top that has two layers - the second layer allows the lid to fit snugly on top of the box. You can keep anything inside this box (it would be great for your gold coins!) and it would look great on any desk, shelf, bedroom, office, you name it!
I hope you enjoy my newest geeky creation! I'll be posting more very soon, too!
Alot of good news coming out of E3, but there were some other, probably, I dunno...unnoticed news bits? The weirdest thing I've seen is this screenshot from Tina Sanchez's blog at 1up (you might have to squint to read the small text). It's a game called "Dark Room Sex Game."
Wait, what? Its for the Wii, you say? Really? No kidding?
I did some extra digging and found out that its exactly what it purports itself to be...a multiplayer erotic music game. The site explains it better:
"Dark Room Sex Game is a multiplayer, erotic rhythm game without any visuals, played only by audio and haptic ?) cues. The game can be played with Nintendo Wiimote controllers or a keyboard.
In Dark Room Sex Game, the player works with his or her partner to find a mutual rhythm, then speeds up gradually until climax. In four-player “orgy” mode, players swap partners randomly and compete to reach orgasm the fastest.
Our idea was that a sex game would in fact be even more erotic if one stripped away all visuals and forced players to use their imaginations. Our hope was to use a combination of humor and embarrassment to make players uncomfortable, yet strangely satisfied. Or, you can just view it as a cool party game."
I edited a bunch of text because it was a bit wordy. I know people were joking around about weird wii games a while ago, but how awesome is it that its a real game, lol? The game is available for download from the website, if anybody wishes to do so. God I wish I went to Denmark University now. If anybody actually downloads it, lemme know how it plays...
Omega-3s are known for maintaining heart health, but do you know why?
First "bad" cholesterol (also known as LDL) causes clogged arteries and other heart disease. Drugs (like statins) are risky and though they may remove an acute threat, they do not address the cause, INFLAMMATION.
OMEGA-3 DHA IS ESSENTIAL FOR COOLING THE BASELINE INFLAMMATION IN THE ARTERIES.
We also need to keep the body healthy by lowering blood fats called triglycerides and raising the "good" cholesterol (known as HDL).
MICROALGAE OIL DHA IS PROVEN MORE EFFECTIVE THAN FISH OIL FOR GETTING ALL THESE RESULTS.
As a natural medicine taken by doctors, Pure One-Optimized Omega3 is now used in the OMEGA-3 THERAPY called TRIZYX (TM). A safer more dependable solution. After all, doctors are telling us how important this therapy program for their own health, wellness, and preventive care.
NO DRUG COMPANY CAN EXPLAIN WHY HIGH CHOLESTEROL IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIGH TRIGLYCERIDES. IT'S NOT! IN FACT, HIGH TRIGLYCERIDE LEVELS ARE OFTEN DEVELOPED FIRST. HIGH TRIGLYCERIDES MAY CAUSE HIGH CHOLESTEROL DUE TO THE INFLAMMATION CREATED IN THE SYSTEM.
Now it is finally your choice what benefits you get by how much DHA you take each day and when you start helping your system recover.
With fish oil there are limits, but with Pure One, you decide the limits, risk free. The only risks left to solve are the deficiencies you may have. Our goal is to coach you to omega-3 essentiality over 3 months for results that will last years to come.

First it was Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2 on the PlayStation 2. Then Guitar Hero III on a whole range of platforms – including the Wii for the first time. Now, hot on the heels of that offering are three more that Activision is trying to tempt your to splash out your Ninty fanboy cash on. And I’m just not quite convinced about the hardware costs.
- Guitar Hero Aerosmith – well, that’s OK; the guitar is identical other than an Aerosmith face plate. Yes, OK, if you want to rock out to Steve Tyler and Joe Perry’s finest, you can – but if you want that second guitar it’ll be an extra £35 – which is a lot for just another faceplate.
- Guitar Hero World Tour – we don’t know how good this’ll be on the Wii yet. But, as this’ll have a drum kit, microphone and guitar in the hardware package, it’ll be pricey. OK, so they’ve said it’ll work with the GH III guitar and any old USB microphone, but the drum kit will still tempt a lot of folk – although how many people’s families / significant others will put up with a replica drum kit in the living room remains to be seen.
- Guitar Hero On Tour – the franchise comes to the Nintendo DS. Well, I’m not sure I’d be quite like these folk:
all of whom appear to have far too few manners to not be using headphones to play the game. Heck, I’d even feel guilty for sitting on a train using this with headphones – the constant clack-clacking of the buttons on the fret attachment would no doubt annoy my fellow passengers.
All in all then, I think I’ll give these a miss. Well, apart from the disc-only version of the Aerosmith game maybe. But I do resent having to buy lots of extra hardware – games don’t all need that. And then again, it could be because my Lego Indiana Jones game does seem to be welded into the Wii, rather like I’m sure the Mario Kart DS cartridge is stuck in my DS!
I played a little of Guitar Hero 2 when my brother borrows it but never picked it up. This is so much fun! Been playing since last night night. I'm in at one today but got up early to get some songs in. My band name is Mirror Trip in honor of Alice in Wonderland.
Corny but I'm having a blast with it.
A strong social network, along with achieving omega-3 DHA essentiality, may help elderly women stay mentally sound and prevent dementia. Researchers said, in a five-year study with over 2000 women 78 years old or older, that there were fewer cases of dementia among ladies who socialize regularly with family and friends. The findings were reported in The American Journal of Public Health.
Studies suggest it is important to think about reduced isolation. Find out what kinds of social support groups create bonds or maintain them between people over an extended period of time. Faith communities, volunteering, live events all make for saturation experiences that nurture the body, mind, and spirit.
Any event that builds associations in social networks could improve cognition. Although sociological studies married to cognitive benefits is sometimes interpretive, the solid science and improved potency omega-3 products on the market are beginning to fill a niche that pharmaceuticals can't help with, preservation brain nutritional therapy to eliminate omega-3 DHA deficiency in the most affected and in need. (Benefit level: 40% reduced dementia developed in patient groups)

It was very hard to put this back in the envelope to wait for later on!
Interestingly, it appears that the game just covers the original three films – but Nintendo Wii Fanboy reports they’re open to a sequel that covers the latest film.
Mind you, the original films were actually better. Went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at the weekend – I have to agree with all the reviewers who have said “not as bad as you’d feared; not as good as you’d hoped.” My one fear is that that go on and make further sequels with Shia LaBeouf without Harrison Ford. Please – no – we’ve already had Young Indiana Jones on TV; we don’t need more films like that.
More on the game when I’ve actually played it.
